In a letter written by Buelah (I think) she says: "But on Pa's side, all I ever knew is what Grandma told me. Grandpa Benham's people lived in Toronto, Canada, and run a big brewery there. Ma and Pa got some papers on the Benham side of the family to fill out and some one was trying to find out about all of them. But ma just threw the whole thing in the fire. So no one ever knows just what was the inquery from them."

Told to Vinnie by Beulah DuBois
Beecher Bryant Benham was reported to have lost his life in a storm on Lake Erie. He is said to follow race tracks, as a rider or jockey and was gone for long periods at a time in doing this. Seems he was never settled anywhere for very long.
(Beulah Benham DuBois lived with Grandma and Grandpa Gould quite a bit when she was a little girl so she seemed to know quite a bit about them). Grandpa Gould was gifted with powers fo seeing things like we call mediumister. I (Vinnie) was told several interesting stories of this gift of his.
